Bemidji Symphony Orchestra welcomes Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome, a 12-piece classic rock horn band with vocalists. They'll join the orchestra to produce a full-energy sound for classic rock, pop, and soulful hits by artists including: Chicago, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Kansas, Earth Wind & Fire, Procal Harum, Maceo Parker, Patti LaBelle, Ides of March, James Brown, and the Commodores. Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome was voted Best Cover Band in the region for 2011 by the Highplain Reader. Band members include:

The Orchestra will open the concert with its Summer Pops tradition of several patriotic selections, including Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes” as conducted by this year’s “Mystery Maestro.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and senior citizens and may be purchased in advance in Bemidji at Lueken’s Village Foods North, Brigid’s Cross Irish Pub, Art in the Park, and at the door. Tickets are also available online at brownpapertickets.com. Students ages K-12 are admitted free. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
